Remembering Who You Are!

Have you ever felt that you have lost touch with who you really are? Have you ever felt that the person you see in the mirror each day is not who you really are? It’s like the caterpillar who knew that he was made for more than just crawling on the ground. He knew there was a beautiful butterfly inside waiting to be released.

What is it that you need to remember? We sometimes lose the very core essence or who we are through our children, our spouses/mates, our jobs, our friends and one day we realize that we have yet to live our truest selves. Then we begin to place blame on others by saying if they would not have done this or that to me then I would not be in this place. We continue to put the “but ifs” in the way.

Yet there comes a time in your life when you must remove all of the “but ifs” and replace them with “what if.” What if I could take total control of my life and my destiny? What if I could be truly happy and joyful? What if I could design the kind of life that I truly desire and so deserve? We can begin where we are right now. Let’s take a navigation system for instance, it never asks where you have been. I only ask where you are and where would you like to go? None of us are truly satisfied with where our lives are currently. We could have more money, more time, a better job and more loving mate, better behaved children and so forth. If your life is not where you want it to be right at this moment, I have one question for you? “Why NOT?

You have inside of you the very thing you need to make the difference in your life. I heard the minister say on yesterday, that we must begin to live in the finished work of Christ. The finished work of Christ has given us so much that we have yet to tap into. What Christ has done in your spirit must now be realized in your soul and body.

You were made for more than just trying to survive this life. Trying to make it just another day. Your days can be filled with laughter. You can have a hearty laugh every single day of your life. You can rise up each morning with a smile on your face because you have chosen the kind of day you will have.

Remember who you are today. You were born for greatness. You were born from a LOVE SOURCE that never runs out. Believe in the finished work of Christ. Focus on what is and the reality of your now. A friend of mine said that we should ask this question, “What is trying to emerge through me to make a change in my life or make a difference in the world? Wow, what a powerful question to ask of yourself.

God cannot grant what your mind won’t sanction. Begin to re-new your thoughts of yourself. Remembering who you are could literally change your life forever and once that happens the world had better make room for YOU!!!
